hello guys! as everyone knows, the exams are coming and so I, Jean Le, am here to share with you how i got my results.. and how you can get your results!

The Muggers

this group of people, as i know, is a really large group of people.. people who mug mug mug.. so for this kind of people, lemme give you some tips!

  • NEVER listen to rock music. I'm serious. On the other hand, listen to classical music! if you have an account at imeem, sign up for one at www.imeem.com - the page is quite self explanatory, and go to this site: http://muttmuttmutt.imeem.com/playlist/IdCyMWS0/classical_music_playlist/ I selected this playlist cus some of the songs are quite nice!
  • Reason? Classical music breaks the silence. You won't be studying in a quiet environment and you won't get distracted by the lyrics or whatever by the modern types of music!
  • Study smart, not hard. Instead of reading the textbook over and over again, and doing practises over and over again, make notes. Summarize, dadada.. I suppose many of you are familiar with this, so I shall skip.
  • For those who have a foundation for something, instead of doing whole papers, you can look through the paper, skip those questions that are the same kinds that you have done during homework. That gives you more time to think about the questions that are difficult, and also for time for other subjects.
Superstitious Type

well for this kind of people, just basically go to the temple/mosque/church(depending on your religion) and pray hard that you will do well. Of course, you have to put in effort. This only gives you the confidence and self-believe that you will do well after the support from your God.

For me, I go to the temple at Philips Street. For directions, go to http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_10105/travel_site_168/
i'm a buddhist la, so for the non-buddhist people, I can't help much~

The day before exams
  • DO NOT study anymore. You'll get so nervous that you can't study well. (Esp. if you are one of those who stare at my PM)
  • Play. I'm serious. Relax yourself, and feel confident. You have put in enough effort these few months!
  • Never sleep late. The latest is 10.30pm. Sleep early, wake up early. Makes sense right?
On the day itself
  • When you wake up and going to leave for school, "dian xiang" and pray that they'll bao you you(for my case)
  • Before the exams, do glance through your notes and see if you left out anything. Usually what you left out will come out. Thats the agony of life.
  • Go in, feeling confident that you will do well. Thats the first step.
  • Have a bottle of water with you. Drink up every once in a while. Helps you relax and also refreshes you.
  • After the paper, no point lamenting on the questions you did not manage to do. Its already over, even if you retake the paper it will not come out again.
  • Of course, it will be the day before the next paper, and just do what its stated day.
Kiasu Type
  • Do everything =D

DISCLAIMER: This is my personal opinion. Don't come blaming me if you did not do well. Its just a suggestion, and not a sure way to good results.

Also, some of you may have your own methods, like I said its my personal opinion. You can thank me after you do well and followed what I said. You may think its too late, but I say, if you start now, at least there is work done! All the best!
